Whether you’re planning a visit, taking a weekend walk, or making a spontaneous stop somewhere new, we built this map to help you discover places that hold Bucharest’s memory, identity, and cultural energy.
We launched the project in 2025, as a natural continuation of the work we began in 2021 through Weekend Sessions, where we activate the city’s cultural life through events in public gardens and museums. Together with our partners, UniCredit Bank and Rompetrol, we support initiatives that bring heritage closer to people and make culture a natural part of everyday life.
The Bucharest Museum Map remains a project in motion. We keep it updated, we keep expanding it, and we let it grow alongside the city—because Bucharest is alive, and it deserves to be rediscovered, again and again.

Weekend Sessions 2025 continues the series of relaxed cultural gatherings in Bucharest’s museums and gardens. The season opens in May at Kretzulescu Park with a picnic, open-air cinema, and workshops, followed by themed weekends at Suțu Palace (“Tango à la française”) and at the Nicolae Minovici Museum with the “Sânziene Picnic,” featuring performances by Corina Sîrghi and Jurjak. Autumn brings Spanish cinema to the Filipescu-Cesianu House, along with a new edition of the urban picnic.
In 2025, the project expands beyond the capital for the first time, with a special edition in Constanța, and launches the Bucharest Museum Map together with a cultural-marketing mentorship program to support partner museums.

Weekend Sessions brings art and creativity to life with special workshops for both children and adults. Organized in collaboration with the Bucharest Municipal Museum and the National Museum of Art of Romania, these engaging activities run every weekend and rotate themes - drawing, painting, collage, photography, printmaking, and more - often tied to current exhibitions and seasons.
Led by museum educators and guest artists, the sessions are beginner-friendly yet rewarding for experienced makers, with guidance available in Romanian and English. Materials are provided, groups are kept comfortable for hands-on learning, and many formats welcome families to create side by side.
